When an interview counts, and when it is free

The counting rule

An interview counts when the candidate and at least one interviewer are connected for 10 minutes or more. That is the whole rule. A real interview took place; it counts.

What is free

The cases that are not really interviews do not count:

• No-shows. If the candidate does not join, there is nothing to charge for.
• Sessions under 10 minutes. A connection that ends in the first few minutes, for a technical problem or a quick reschedule, is free.
• Declined consent. If the candidate declines either consent and the interview does not start, it is free.

You are billed for interviews that happened, not for attempts that did not.

What is always free

Interviewers and admins are unlimited on every plan. You do not pay per seat for the people running the interviews, only per interview that actually runs. Candidates never pay, on any plan.

Why the rule is shaped this way

Per-interview pricing only feels fair if the count matches reality. Charging for a no-show or a 3-minute connection would turn a pricing model into a trap. The 10-minute threshold, with no-shows and declined consent free, ties the bill to interviews that took place, and keeps the incentives clean: nobody is nudged to keep a candidate on the call to cross a billing line, because the line sits where a real interview begins. The pilot follows the same spirit: 14 days, 5 interviews, no card.
